Anne-Marie's Been Writing With Ed Sheeran & This Makes Us Very Happy

EXCLUSIVE! The BRITs nominee talks working with the mighty Ed and where she's going to put her award (if she wins!)...

Over the weekend, multiple BRITs nominee Anne-Marie confirmed that she has in fact been working with man-of-the-moment Ed Sheeran on new music. Talking to us exclusively at the BRIT Awards nominations launch on Saturday, the 'Alarm' singer

"Well we've been friends for so long and ever since the start really I was like 'look we need to get a writing session in,' and he was like 'yeah, yeah, yeah.' We've both been really busy and then I think it was like maybe a couple of months ago he was like 'look, I've got this song, we need to work on it' and 'soooo'…we worked on it!"

The whole world has fallen in love with Ed's new music and so has Anne-Marie:"I love 'Shape Of You'", she revealed. "I think anything he does is gonna be good because I just love his voice and what he writes about and so yeah anything he does is gonna be good but I really love 'Shape Of You' - I don't even know what the other's one's called! Castle On The Hill?! I like that one as well!"

Our MTVBrand New For 2016 winner Anne-Marie was originallyshortlisted for this year's BRITs Critics' Choice award, however she lost out to Rag'n'Bone' Man, but on Saturday she discovered she wasadditionally nominatedfor British Breakthrough Act, plus her Clean Bandit collaboration 'Rockabye' is also up for British Single and British Artist Video Of The Year!

"I know, what the hell?" she reacted to her nominations."I literally was just standing outside and they just told me so I'm pretty shocked and I don't think it's actually sunk in yet, but yeah I'm well happy."

If she manages to take home a BRIT next month she revealed"it is gonna mean a lot. I always think when you're doing something like this it's really good to get awards, to recognise you're making a difference or actually doing well. When I did karate, when I got awards for it, it would really push me along and help me really think that I'm doing well. Just to have something there and be like 'oh my god' - so hopefully I'll get one."

And where might she keep it?"All the karate stuff is at my mum's house 'cause I've got no space," she giggled. "It'll just be in my cupboard, not a closed one, it's got a glass front! In my house, like you walk up the stairs and there's a glass cupboard so I'm gonna put it in there.

"'I'm going to win' -look at me! I'm talking like I've got it! I will put it in there if I get it."
