Come Behind The Scenes At The BRITs 2018 Backstage Spa
This is where the talent will be getting pampered before tonight's show.
Ever wondered exactly what it takes for celebs to get red carpet ready for a major show like the BRIT Awards?
Well wonder no more as ahead of tonight's show, we've managed to blag our way backstage and into the BRITs Spa and thought you might like to come along for the ride.
Check out the latest from MTV News below...
If you didn't already know, the BRITs Spa is the backstage hub and bar on hand for the A-List performers and presenters to hang out and generally just get primped and pampered in before hitting the stage.
Set slap bang in the middle of the (naturally) security-guarded corridor of dressing rooms for the likes of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Jack Whitehall and more, the 2018 spa is an oasis of calm where you can escape to get your makeup touched up by MUA faves Smashbox, have a little facial with Pixi or even do a spot of meditation with AMCK Fit. Then there's nails by All That Jazz and hair by Color Wow, just in case you need a little last minute zhoosh before show time.
The first stop on our backstage tour is to visit Smashbox, and if you're big on your Instagram beauty, you'll already know that this is a brand loved by bloggers, makeup artists and celebs alike.
The MUAs on hand are putting together some seriously big looks for BRITs night too, using their Studio Skin Shaping Foundation Stick to contour us cheekbones we didn't know we even had and then adding some major golden glow using their to-die-for Spotlight Highlighting Palette.
An event like the BRITs clearly deserves a load of shimmer like no other, so we couldn't resist trying out the Photo Edit Eye Shadow Trio in Holy Crop either, which is a blend of three gorge matte and metallic reds and nudes that are a major fiery look all smoked out over the eyelids. A final spritz of Photo Finish Primer Water over the finished look and you'll be all sealed in and ready to sing your heart out on stage at the O2 with no fear of your makeup melting under the hot stage lights.
For celeb in need of a little R&R, Pixi by Petra are also on hand to offer a little pampering in the form of a facial. With their floral scented products on hand to relax and revive skin ahead of a big night on stage, celebs including Professor Green were dropping by to try out the products.
Starting with Double Cleanse to rid skin of any impurities, the therapists then use a mix of products including the Glow Tonic, Jasmine Oil and beautifully scented Rose Caviar Essence to give skin a real boost of hydration so it's all prepped and giving you that glowing from within dewiness.
Of course no A-Lister can hit the red carpet without a spot of hair styling and the team from Color Wow are all set up in the BRITs Spa for everything from full blow drys to last minute touch ups.
Apparently the big styles of the night are set to be soft, beachy waves and super sleek ponytails, so the stylists are going big with serums to boost moisture and prep hair for heat styling, and an amazing texturising spray that gives you hold and flexibility without that sticky feeling you get with so many hairsprays.
Stars can also take 10 minutes out to get some personalised BRIT Awards nail art with the team from All That Jazz.
As you can see below, designs range from BRIT Award statues to individual nods to the various artists set to hit the stage tonight. While choosing between tiny patterned divide signs for Ed Sheeran and bones for Rag 'n' Bone Man were tricky, we ended up going for the sassy I.D.G.A.F. option as a nod toward Dua Lipa.
Because Dua Lipa.
The BRITs Spa team are also keen to give artists space to self-care and have brought in specialist fitness and wellbeing experts from AMCK Fit to be on hand to offer personalised yoga, meditiation and breathing exercises.
Celebs can either take a few minutes with instructors in the spa space or can request sessions in their dressing rooms, to focus in on particular areas personal to them to get in the right headspace to hit the stage.
So in conclusion, the life of a celeb isn't half bad, is it? Let us know what you make of all this lot and whether you'll be trying any of these celeb-approved beauty products with a tweet to @MTVUK.
