Emeli Sande To Close The Brit Awards 2013
As Clown singer reveals she's taking a six month break after the show...
Emeli Sande is set to close The Brit Awards tonight (February 20) - vowing to take a break after the ceremony.
The Scottish singer, who is up for the Best Female, Best Album and Best Song gongs, will bring a close to this year's bash, bringing an end to an impressive few months which saw her perform at the Olympics in London.
Sande has also told The Sun that she will be stepping out of the spotlight for six months after The Brits, stating: "I’m happy to leave the limelight for a bit and lay low after.
“I’m going to be in the studio working on my next album. I just want to make more music, as that’s my favourite thing.”
Following their epic War Child show on Monday (February 18), Muse will open the star-studded bash, with drummer Dom Howard previously telling MTV News that their stint on stage promises to be just as impressive.
He explained: "We are opening the show at The Brits which is pretty cool. We are going to have about forty people on stage, full orchestra lined up on different levels behind us.
"We haven't played at the brits for so long so doing that kind of thing is kinda funny, hanging around with all those other weirdos that are there."
The likes of One Direction and Robbie Williams will perform during the show, with US stars Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift - who will apparently being wearing a wedding dress - also due to take to the stage.
The Brit Awards 2013 takes place tonight, February 20, and keep it MTV.co.uk for all the action!
