James Corden Backs Emma Willis As Next Brits Host

Gavin And Stacey star says it's time for a female to present the 'male dominated' ceremony...

The Brit Awards host James Corden thinks that Emma Willis is the perfect choice to replace him when he hangs up his microphone for the last time after Wednesday's ceremony.

The actor, who is hosting the BRITs for the fifth and final time, told The Sun that he thinks The Voice host would be good for the awards.

He said: “I feel like the BRITs has been quite male dominated. I think it would really benefit from having a woman. Emma is one of the freshest and best presenters on TV. I watch her on Big Brother and think she’s incredible. I really love her and think she’d offer something interesting.

“She can handle a live environment and she takes things in her stride. She’s really funny and gobsmackingly beautiful. She’s very cool too. It’s everything the Brits want, really.”

Despite James's praise for Emma, it is comedian Jack Whitehall who is favourite to host the 2015 ceremony, followed by Radio 1 DJs Nick Grimshaw and Fearne Cotton.

Speaking about his decision to quit, James added: “I don’t want to overstay my welcome. You want to leave before you are pushed.”
