The 1975 Troll Their Own BRITs Performance With On-Screen Reactions

The British Group winners may have done a BRIT Awards first...

In what might be a BRITs first, The1975 just trolled their own performance flicking up various 'reactions' or reviews on screen as they played'The Sound' to a screaming O2 Arena.

During the performance, various (sometimes hilarious)phrases popped up on screen including "is this a joke?", "wannabes" and - our favourite - "I only heard 'Chocolate' once, but I hated it."

Take that, Twitter.

But die hard 1975 fans will know this is a direct nod to their music video for the track...

Earlier in the night the band picked up the award for British Group, beating off competition from Bastille, Biffy Clyro, Little Mix and Radiohead. In his acceptance speech Matt Healy urged fellow pop stars not to "stay in their lane" and use their status to talk about social issues.

With the ceremony still underway, we've seen Little Mix SLAY with an opening performance of 'Shout Out To My Ex' andEmeli Sandétake home the BRIT Award for British Female Solo Artist.
