8PM: We're off! Ant and Dec looking dapper as ever, and they've already made a Madonna joke - nice one lads. THIS IS SO EXCITING!

8:04PM: So this opening sequence is elaborate indeed. We believe you Ant & Dec, you've definitely upped your game. Thatsequencewouldn't look out of place at London Fashion Week.

8:09PM: Coldplay have officially opened The BRIT Awards 2016 with theirnew single 'Hymn For The Weekend', and what a colourful affair that was. We love that their instruments were covered in flowers.Amazing.

8:12PM: Liam and Louis are up to present the first award for BestBritishFemale Solo Artist. OH THEY LOOK SO GOOD! And the winner is... ADELE! YAS QUEEN! As we predicted, of course, Adele rules the world.

8:14PM: Adele is all about the feminism, and she's all about #FreeKesha. YES. This is what we like to see, one amazing female in the music industry fighting for another.

8:20PM: The moment we've all been waiting for, the mighty Justin Bieber performing 'Love Yourself' with none other than JAMES BAY! Two baes, on one stage, jamming around a camp fire - this is perfection.

8:24PM: Straight into 'Sorry' after a quick run to the stage. I think it's safe to say that Bieber is pretty much on fire tonight. Literally. *ALL THE FIRE EMOJIS*

8:26PM: Next up we've got Kylie Minogue presenting the Best British Male Solo Artist award. Look at that dress, she's SO ADORABLE! And the winner is... JAMES BAY. Two out of two, looks like our predictions are doing pretty well do far.

8:29PM: A confused James Bay is the cutest type of James Bay. "This is insane, thank you," the now two-time BRIT award winner said. Aww!

8:31PM: Alan Carr and Simon Pegg in the crowd giving us ALL the jokes. We love celeb spotting at The BRITS!

8:36PM: We're back from the ad break and Henry Cavill and JourdanDunn are here to present the next award for Best International Group. We predicted Major Lazer, but alas, it goes to Tame Impala. To be fair they have had an amazing year with their record 'Currents'. Their first BRIT awards, well done lads!

8:39PM: Jess Glynne providing us with major hair goals with her mane of ginger locks, oh and absolutely smashing this medley of her biggest hits. From new single 'Ain't Got Far To Go' right through to 'Hold My Hand', she has SO many hits.

8:45PM: Suki Waterhouse and Simon LeBon are here to present the award for Best Single. We predicted 'Black Magic' by Little Mix... let's see if we're back onto a winning streak.

8:47PM: It's ADELE! (after Suki's stumble, nevermind babe) with 'Hello'. Only Adele would tell the BRITS to turn down her own song. Humble as ever. We need to be best friends with Adele, this needs to happen rn.

8:55PM: Simon Pegg is up to present the award for Best British Group. Our prediciton for this one was our boys Years & Years, so let's see if we're onto a winner (note: we haven't been doing very well...) IT'S COLDPLAY! Chris Martin giving a shout out to the other bands. What a guy. Oh, and casually shouting out to refugees. This man can do no wrong. Well done guys.

8:59PM: James Bay, casually holding back the river again. Him and his red guitar slaying another awards show performance. We are also ever jealous of those impeccable cheekbones. Damn James... Dayyym.

9:04PM: Major Lazer being swag as ever as they present the award for Best International Male Solo Artist. YES JUSTIN BIEBER! SO well deserved! We're so proud of our boy. Oh, and a cheeky outfit change, we like it. Bieber's shaking, we wanna HOLD HIM! (Oh, and we predicted this one by the way guys.)

9:16PM: Rihanna is here to do her first performance on UK soil since 2012, and wow, has it been worth the wait. DRAKE! WHAT!WE ARE NOT READY/WORTHY! They're basically recreating the 'Work' music video, this is insane.

9:20PM: The lovely Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl are up to present the award for Best British Breakthrough Act, and the winner is... Catfish And The Bottlemen! Well done Van and co., these guys are smashing it at the moment.

9:22PM: Wait, Tim Peak is just casually presenting the Global Success Award. The BRITs really HAVE upped their game. Incredible. Of course it's Adele. This award is based on sales and number crunching so it HAD to be her. We're welling up with emotion - IF SHE CRIES, WE CRY!

9:29PM: Little Mix are up with 'Black Magic' and what an AMAZING performance that was. We love the Mexican Day Of The Dead theme. SO MUCH SASS LADIES. Performance of the night we reckon. Yep, we said it.

9:36PM: Fluer East and Craig David are here to present Best International Female Solo Artist, and the winner is... Bjork. We're gonna be honest we predicted Lana for this one.Questionable face gear from the lady as well, hmm.

9:40PM: Now Annie Lenox leads a tribute to the late, great, David Bowie. "He was truly unique." Now, one of Bowie's closest friendsGary Oldman takes to the stage to accept the BRITs Icon Award, saying "He was the sweetest soul ever, with the best cheekbones, until it was done. [...] We love you and we thank you."

9:49PM: Suprise performance from Lorde and David Bowie's band. We've got chills. This is truly amazing.

10:02PM: Lianne La Havas and Alan Carr present the award for British Artist Music Video Of The Year and the winner is... ONE DIRECTION WITH 'DRAG ME DOWN'! YES BOYS! Their sixth BRIT award. Oh, and they're casually discussing the break. Don't do this to us lads.

10:03PM: And now for a fire performance from The Weeknd. Come on Abel, smashing 'The Hills'.

10:07PM: Mark Ronson, looking effortlessly cool, is up to present the award for Best British Album, and the winner is... ADELE! AGAIN! Fourth award of the evening, sweeping the floor. SLAY QUEEN SLAY! The year of Adele is upon us, let it take you.

10:18PM: And now, she will perform 'When We Were Young' and it will be amazing.

10:22PM: See, we told you so, THAT is how you close The BRITs. Excuse us while we sob into our cold takeaway.
