The Darkness lead the pack of BRIT Awards nominees with four nods. The spandex rock act will go into the 2004 BRIT Awards in association with MasterCard with nominations for Best British Group, Best British Breakthrough, Best British Rock and Best British Album for 'Permission to Land'.
Just behind The Darkness with three nominations each are Dido, Busted, Dizzee Rascal and Daniel Bedingfield. Battling it out for the MTV Base sponsored Best British Urban Act are Lemar, Big Brovaz, Mis-Teeq, Dizzee Rascal and Amy Winehouse.
