The Duchess had its premiere in London last night with stars including Dominic Cooper, Ralph Fiennes and Keira Knightley hitting the red carpet.

The movie tells the story of 18th century aristocrat Georgina Spencer- played by Knightley- who is involved in a love triangle.

Speaking to MTV News Keira said shes not a massive fan of premieres: Im not that happy with being surrounded by pictures of myself everywhere- its like some kind of a nightmare! she told us.

Of her character- who was a distant relation of Princess Diana- the actress explained: Shes a fascinating character shes got this hug public persona and a very vulnerable private life.

And she was an enormous fashion icon so it was very important that we got the costumes right though they werent very comfortable! The problem with the corset is that after lunch I was constantly belching all the time. Nice.

The Duchess is released this week at cinemas nationwide.
