See Tina Fey And Amy Poehler's Golden Globes Opening Sketch
Funny women have guests laughing and squirming with near-the-knuckle jokes...
Cracking a series of controversial gags in their 10-minute opening skit, the pair had the famous audience laughing, squirming and gasping in turn.
"Good evening and welcome you bunch of despicable, spoiled and minimally talented brats," Fey began.
"Tonight we celebrate all the great television shows that we know and love, as well as all the movies that North Korea was OK with."
Poehler then re-capped North Korea's anger over The Interview, which she joked had the effect of "forcing us all to pretend we wanted to see it".
They then proceeded to good-naturedly zing a series of famous guests including Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Stone and - erm - British actors in general.
The audience loved Fey's list of Amal Alamuddin's impressive achievements as a human rights lawyer - followed by the punchline: "So tonight her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."
And to his credit George Clooney joined in the hilarity and applauded the gag.
They also indulged in an awards-show first - a game of "who would you rather" intended to demonstrate their differing taste in men.
Poehler says she'd rather do Colin Farrell "all day", while Fey asserts that she'd select Colin Firth "for a polite amount of time".
Fey also got a big laugh when explaining that the movie Selma is about the American civil rights movement, which she says "totally worked and now everything's fine".
But there was a sharp intake of breath when they joked that Sleeping Beauty "just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby".
And audience members can be seen wincing as they go on to compete with their impersonations of the veteran entertainer and alleged rapist.
