This week sees therelease of the latest in the'Pure Grime' series, this time mixed by producer/DJ/songwriter trio The Heavytrackerz (who are behind some of the biggest grime tracks around, including 'German Whip', which featured JME and Big H).UK Grime has never been more in the spotlight soto celebrate, we've picked out ten of the artists featured on the two-disc mixwho you should definitely be in the know with...

Stormzy

Stormzy is literallyHUGE right now. Last year after a campaign to get grime to No.1,'Shut Up' peaked at No.8 on the Official UK Singles Chart. This summerthe two time Best Grime Act MOBO winnercasuallysteppedin to replace Halsey's main stage slot atV Festival, providingone of the stand out performances of the weekend. And if his hype still isn't convincing enough for you,he evenjoked he'd run for Prime Minister and the feeling on Twitter was a serious "actually, please do it."

The 'Know Me From' star isalso flexing his acting muscles in Noel Clarke's'BrOTHERHOOD', so expect to see a lot of more of this guy. #Merky.

Giggs

Leading the SN1 (Spare No 1)crew, Peckham born Giggs, has had a rocky road to notoriety. Run in with the law and a stint in prison, the London rapper has since sworn off crimeand has released four studio albums, his most recent 'Landlord' charting at No.2 on the Official UK Albums Chart.

The twice MOBO nominated MC's collab list is endless, with Ed Sheeran, Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Pro Green, Big Narstiejust the beginning. Know him.

Skepta

Skepta is one of Britain’s most exciting artists. Right at the spearhead of the grime revival, Joseph Junior Adenuga is one of the most respected figures in the scene, and released his latest album 'Konnichiwa' earlier this year, only just missing out on the top spot in the UK albums charts to Radiohead.

Skepta also happens to be a brother to JME, who is also in Boy Better Know, and Julie Adenuga, who is one of Beats 1’s leading DJs. The Adenuga’s done good. Plus, Skepta is the only person, ever, in human history, to make cobweb print trousers look cool.

Kano

From the furious, unstoppable ‘This Is England’ to the sun-drenched, nostalgic ‘T Shirt Weather’, 'Made In The Manor', Kano’s fifth album, was one of 2016’s best yet, and it’s been rightly given a nod from the Mercury Prize panel. Kano isn’t only involved with music, however, and you might have seen him in Channel 4’s 'Top Boy'. A third season is reportedly in the works.

Tempa T

The hypest man in grime, Tempa T is regarded as one of the most energetic MCs on the scene. Another fave of Chase & Status, you'll recognise his bars from their raucous 'Hypest Hype'.

Believe the hype.

Wiley

EVERYONE knows Wiley. First hitting the scene as part of UK garage crewPay As U Go and then Roll Deep, Wiley - aka Richard Kylea Cowie - is dubbed the Godfather Of Grime. His music release schedule can be as unpredictable as whether he'll turn up for his personal appearances or not but whether on stage alone or as part of the BBK crew, the 'Wearing My Rolex' hit makeralways brings it.

Novelist

He was on stage with Kanye during his BRITs performance of 'All Day', he's got Drake's ear and, known for championing new talent,Chase & Status picked Novelistto featureon 'NRG', taken from their forthcoming album. He's 19.

Having taken a more political-leaning route in his storytelling of late, this dude is definitely one to watch.

Bugzy Malone

After six years on the scene, Bugzy Malone wasnominated for Best Newcomer and Best Grime awards at last year's MOBOs. The Manchester MC exploded onto the radar in 2015 when his 1Xtra Fire In The Booth went viral and his subsequent 'Watch Your Mouth' single picked up traction.

JME

From driving around London dishing out vinyls of his latest album ‘Integrity>’ in exchange for shiny Charizard Pokémon cards, to levelling gig venues whilst wearing a T-shirts emblazoned with his own grinning face (which is also the ‘Integrity>’ album art), JME is one of the funniest personalities in not only Grime, but UK music as whole. Even better, songs like ‘Don’t @ Me’ and ‘Man Don’t Care’ provehe’s got the tunes to back it up.

Lethal Bizzle

If you don't know his Royal Denchness Lethal Bizzle, go home now. His personality is as big as his infectious beats and his Snapchat is LIT.

Plus if youhaven't learnt the 'Fester Skank' yet,WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

'Pure Grime: Mixed By The Heavytrackerz is out now on Apple Music.'
