The Hills: Expectation Vs. Reality
Ah how times have changed.
It's happened to the best of us, you rock up to LAX airport expecting to be greeted by Brody Jenner in a limo, but instead all you get is a miserable Uber driver.
The Hills formed 99% of our hopes and dreams as to what being in your twenties is really like, and now we can't help but sit and think, ten years on, that it was just a little misleading.
Magically getting a job straight away…
Expectation: Sure, Heidi somehow managed to get a job despite having basically no experience, but that's real life isn't it?
Reality: OH WAIT NO IT'S NOT.
Going to a pool party…
Expectation: Glam, floating candles, perfectly placed plants.
Reality: Nope, more like the odd plaster floating about and an appearance from Mark Wright.
Not looking ugly af during an argument...
Expectation: Lauren's eyeliner was positively industrial during all those cries.
Reality: Ours, not so much.
Super long lunch breaks…
Expectation: Ah the bliss of sunbathing on a lunch break.
Reality: What is a 'lunch break'?
All of the double dates…
Expectation: Think of all the dating possibilities!
Reality: Netflix please.
Having a Jean-Paul in your life…
Expectation: I'll know so many sexy French people when I'm older.
Reality: Okay so I know a guy who has BEEN to France once, does that count?
