Release Date Set For Third Hobbit Movie
Final instalment of Peter Jackson's new trilogy coming in July 2014...
The release date for the third movie in Peter Jackson's new Hobbit trilogy has been revealed as 18 July, 2014.
And the film's title will be The Hobbit: There And Back Again - while the second instalment of the trilogy will now be called The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug.
The first movie, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, will be released on 14 December this year. The second film will hit the big screen on 13 December, 2013.
According to Digital Spy, Warner Brothers head of distribution Dan Fellman said that "opening in July affords us not only the perfect summer tentpole, but fans will have less time to wait for the finale of this epic adventure".
Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Smaug the dragon, has revealed that he features most in the second movie.
He said: "I think my eye might open at the end of the first film, and then you'll get the rest of me in the second."
