The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug tops this week’s box office charts, beating competition from Frozen and Anchorman 2 to secure first place.
Peter Jackson's Middle Earth sequel, the second of three fantasy epics based on JRR Tolkien's novel, is now enjoying its [uuid=256405be-d1c3-4e46-b464-f392009eeeca]third week[/uuid] as the biggest-grossing film in the country.
New entry The Secret Life of Walter Mitty took fourth place, grabbing an impressive £2,235,612 during the festive season, while Keanu Reeves's 47 Ronin rounded out the top five taking £1,415,252.
Justin Bieber's new documentary flick Believe didn’t make it to the top 10 - instead it debuted at number 14, taking £205,242.
