A source said: "Hunger Games producers have earmarked the same estate as a possible location for the main battle scene, as well as a tower block area in south London."
Although Only Fools And Horses was set in Peckham, London, the Trotters' home in "Nelson Mandela House" was actually a high-rise block in Bristol.
Many of the other scenes from the show were also filmed in and around the west country city.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is out later this year, with the first part of Mockingjay to follow in 2014 and a second instalment the year after.
