The first proper trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 has been released at Comic-Con in San Diego.

The promo, which has also been posted on the web for those of us not dedicated enough to travel to California, clocks in at just over a minute.

But in that brief time it manages to set the scene for the third instalment of the movie franchise, showing fighting and discontent in the provinces of Panem - with characters discussing the need for Katniss Everdeen to act as a rallying figure.

Jennifer Lawrence's character is only seen, looking traumatised, at the end of the trailer as she pledges to fight with the rebels.

Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman will all return for the sequel.

And they'll be joined by new arrivals Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson and Julianne Moore.

The movie arrives in cinemas on 21 November this year.
