Sorry But The Inbetweeners Is Now Officially Over

Cast reveal new movie will be last outing for awesome foursome...

They've been the nation's favourite awkward teenagers since they first burst onto the small screen in 2008, but they've now decided to call it a day.

The cast of The Inbetweeners have revealed to The Sun that now their second movie is done they are putting the characters to bed permanently.

Simon Bird (aka Will) told the paper: "There's no third film. This is genuinely our last interview ever. Ever, ever, ever."

His co-star Joe Thomas (Simon) quipped: "We should take a moment — it's like the fall of the Berlin Wall."

James Buckley (Jay) explained: "Physically, unfortunately, we're ageing. The body clock is ticking."

And Joe admitted it was a sad moment: "We'll never have another job like this. We're all a bit similar in temperament — and we're all a bit weird.

"I feel very content in the company of these three and that is quite a beautiful thing. In a way, that is why it's sad."

Blake Harrison (Neil) added: "Just the amount of time we've spent together and got to know each other... it's over seven years we've been doing this.

"You get to know each other very well."

The first movie featuring the foursome became the highest-grossing Brit comedy of all time back in 2011 - and sequel The Inbetweeners 2 is out on DVD on 2 December.
