Killers Sued By Ex-Manager

Braden Merrick looking to win 9m for alleged breach of contract

The Killers are being sued by their former manager for 9m for alleged breach of contract.
Braden Merrick has filed a suit at a Las Vegas court, claiming that the band unfairly fired him in May 2005 when he still had two years left on his contract.
Merricks lawyer, Howard King, said his client believed he was entitled to a percentage of The Killers income, and added: As soon as he made them superstars they decided to stop paying him.
But the bands lawyer, Robert Reynolds, hit back, saying they would defend the absolutely meritless allegation. Speaking on behalf of the band, he said: The only statement the band would like to make at this time is that the claims alleged by Mr Merrick are absolutely meritless and we intend to defend this action vigorously.
