Luke Pritchard has revealed to MTV News that The Kooks nearly got in trouble with German Police after hilariously requesting a Beatles song.

We chatted to the frontman at last weekends V Festival where he recalled the bizarre experience- which took place in Munich where this years EMAs are held.

Ive had some funny times in Munich man.. Ill tell you a funny story. We went to this place called the Hofbrauhaus, its the place where all the Nazi rallies started, where Hitler started chanting or whatever.

Its properly Bavarian, everyone drinking, every half hour they have this band and everyone has to down their drinks. (There were) Massive sausages.

I was really drunk and I asked them (the band) to go and play Yellow Submarine I gave them 20 Euros and they played it but I tried to get on stage to play with them.

I was going to sing it and they went nuts, this guy grabbed me- one of the big Bavarian dudes in the full, little hat and trousers!

I sat back down but they phoned up the police and told them we were doing drugs in the building. Luckily we werent so they didnt arrest us. Quite a funny night actually. We left kind of screaming and shouting.
