Fans of Zelda have made an amazing short film as a gift to fellow fans. It tells the tale of Majora’s Mask and how it came to be worn by Skull Kid. The film is called 'Majora’s Mask - Terrible Fate.'

The impressive CGI mini-movie was created by Ember Labto show off what a story told in the Zelda universe could look like. We dug a little deeper on its site and found a mention of a “Netflix style series for the Zelda universe”.

Here’s hoping that’s a real thing which is going to happen - perhaps around the time' Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' is released. Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto has spoken about making a feature film for Zelda so perhaps those plans are finally going somewhere.

Enjoy the film... and look out for a little nod to Mario in there!

This video is based on the sixth game in the Zelda series, 'The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask', which was released on the N64 in 2000 before being re-released on the Nintendo Wii in 2009.
