Someone Has Created A New Next-Gen Zelda World And It Looks Stunning
See Link as you've never seen him before.
It's fair to say that The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is still one of the best Zelda games ever made. But it's a long time since the N64 looked cutting edge, so this version of the classic has had a graphical upgrade.
One intrepid gaming fan has put in some serious hours to use the Unreal Engine 4 to recreate Ocarina of Time in staggering high definition graphics.
CryZENx, as the Zelda fan with a lot of time to spare goes by, has even managed to create a world that sounds like the Zelda great.
The result is a video showing off gameplay from the Unreal Engine 4 Zelda: Ocarina of Time. From those classic Link "huuup" jump noises to his movement style, it's all be captured looking and sounding brilliant. In case you don't agree, check out the game on the N64 to see just how far this has come.
While this isn't anywhere near official we can but hope that Nintendo is taking note and will one day offer us something close to the Zelda great but with next gen graphics. Although seeing the evil Ganondorf in all that clarity might be a little too scary to handle.
