The Libertines Reunion Pay Revealed
Pete Doherty says he and Carl Barat are getting £500k each...
He said: "It's filthy. Last time was supposed to be £240k each after tax for me and Carl. But by the time they paid for all the buses and s**t there was just a tax bill.
"This time I think we're getting half a million each, me and Biggles."
The "last time" mentioned by Doherty was the Reading and Leeds Festival in 2010.
And the troubled rocker also addressed criticism that the band was just getting back together for the money.
"What do they think The Libertines did? We signed to Rough Trade, right? Purely for the money.
"It's completely in the spirit of the band to play Hyde Park for the money!
"What the f**k are they talking about?! It's a f**king horrorshow, it just happens to be amazing rock 'n' roll music."
Doherty has also revealed that the band expect to play some warm-up shows prior to their gig in Hyde Park - and possibly a free show for fans who can't make the big event.
