What You Missed In Music This Week: The Maccabees Split, Snakehips & Zayn's New Video & Loads More!
From The Maccabees splitting to Shawn Mendes' 18th birthday, a lot has gone on this week in the music world...
This week's been a particularly busy one in the music world with some good news, and unfortunately some bad news, filling our timelines.
In the good news corner we got a brand new music video from Snakehips featuring the one and only Zayn Malik, but on the other hand one of our favourite bands, The Maccabees, decided to call it a day.
Catch up with what you might have missed out on this week right here:
The Maccabees Announce Split After 14 Years Together
After over a decade of being a band, everyone's favourite indie rockers have announced that they're breaking up. In an extremely amicable open letter to fans the band have said they wish to go out at their 'creative peak' and that some 'farewell celebration shows' will be coming soon.

Needless to say we, along with the rest of the music world, are absolutely devastated by this news but totally commend the band for letting us know in such a respectful way, keeping the fans at the heart of their message.
Excuse us while we sob and listen to 'Toothpaste Kisses' on repeat.
Snakehips Unveil Music Video For 'Cruel' Featuring ZAYN
After releasing their epic new single 'Cruel', we've been dying to see Snakehips and ZAYN's official music video for the track.
Noise and tears
Death on the TV
And then there's you
It's fucked, it's crazy
I can't concentrate
I just see your outline
Mhmm
Back where we left off
Watch you take your dress off
I've been by myself remembering you
Your body hurts me
Loopin' 'round like CCTV
In all this bitterness, you stay so sweet
It's such a cruel world
Woah, savin' all my love for you
Girl, ah-ooh
It's such a cruel world
Woah, maybe I found somethin' good
Girl, ah-na-na, na-na
Some prick at the party
All scripts and boasts
A dead eyed actress girl
And then there's you
Venus in Converse
You put a spell on me
And you're lockin' up the bathroom door for us
Back where we left off
Watch you take your dress off
I've been by myself remembering you
Your body hurts me
Loopin' 'round like CCTV
In all this bitterness you stay so sweet
It's such a cruel world
Woah, savin' all my love for you
Girl, ah-ooh
It's such a cruel world
Woah, maybe I found somethin' good
Girl, ah-na-na, na-na
Who do you love, who do you love? (Who do you love, who do you love?)
Who do you love, who do you love?
Just see your outline
Back where we left off
Help you take your dress off
I've been by myself remembering you
Your body hurts me
Loopin' 'round like CCTV
In all this bitterness you stay so sweet
It's such a cruel world
Woah, savin' all my love for you
Girl, ah-ooh
It's such a cruel world
Woah, maybe I found somethin' good
Girl, ah-na-na, na-na
Sunrise in Hollywood
We ain't slept for days
Perfect disaster
Me and you
Luckily for us, we didn't have to wait long, and even then, it was definitely worth the wait. Thank you ZAYN and Snakehips, you're the best.
Spencer Smith Surprises Brendon Urie On Stage For Panic! At The Disco Reunion
Panic! At The Disco's frontman (and only original member) Brendon Urie was surprised onstage by former drummer, Spencer Smith, at their recent show in Irvine, CA.

It was such a special moment with Smith, who famously left the band due to ongoing addiction problems, bringing on Urie's guitar for 'This Is Gospel', a track that is about their relationship. Aw, you guys! We love a mini Panic! At The Disco reunion.

Taylor Swift Wishes Shawn Mendes A Happy Birthday On Instagram
Taylor Swift's social media updates are very few and far between these days so we were absolutely delighted when she decided to celebrate both International Cat Day and Shawn Mendes' 18th birthday on her Instagram story.

Lip syncing along to his new track 'Treat You Better' Taylor can be seen dancing around in an amazing cat print jumper and we wish we were there dancing alongside her.
Keep doing you, Taylor. Never change.
