Gaga And The Muppets Christmas Special For UK

Lady Gagawill be appearing alongside The Muppets and Sir Elton John in a Christmas special featuring the much-loved puppets.

Channel 5 has revealed that it will be screening the one-off show, called Lady Gaga & The Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular, over the festive season.

Gaga said: "I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year, I knew it just wouldn't be a complete night of laughter and memories without The Muppets!

"Can't wait to see the gang again and I hope Miss Piggy's still not mad about Kermit. We're just friends!"

Meanwhile Kermit also gave a comment to the TV company's press office, saying: "What an incredible opportunity! We have a long history with Ms. Gaga, so we jumped at the chance to do a holiday special with her.

"We won’t even mind if she mistakes some of the Muppets for pieces of her wardrobe - again."

Gaga is to perform several of her hits on the show, which will also see the pop star teaming-up with the Muppets to deliver Christmas classics.

The show will also give a peek at forthcoming movie Muppets Most Wanted - which features Gaga in a cameo appearance.
