The Noisettes spoke to MTV Two at the Snowbombing festival in Austria yesterday telling us about finding sudden success after so many years.
The group could go to number one this weekend with their track Don’t Upset The Rhythm if they can knock Lady GaGa’s Poker Face off her perch.
Singer Shingai Shoniwa told us why she thinks the record has been so big: “Its Disco. The song sounds like Chic or Earth, Wind and Fire.”
The London three-piece have been together for around five years but only just reached the mainstream after their single was featured on a car advert.
Drummer Jamie gave advice to other bands: “Keep on knocking on the door- we did for years and now we are only 1,000 records off number one!”
Shingai added: “Dream big, think bigger.”
The Noisettes were drafted into the Snowbombing festival after hot tip La Roux pulled out.
