TOWIE Cast: Xmas No.1 Would Be The Best Present

Ahead of the Christmas chart, The Only Way Is Essex stars Little Mix and Jessica Wright - remains hopeful: “There is Little Mix and they are good but I hope people will be swayed our way.”

When asked whether the song was chosen to reflect the love triangles on the show, Lydia said: “Possibly yeah, that could have been one of the reasons that it got chosen. I think it was chosen as well because it’s a very light-hearted, happy, upbeat sort of song.”

She continued: “I think we could kind of reach all of the notes ‘cause none of us are big singers apart from James and Jessica, but they’re the lead singers.”

In the spirit of Christmas giving, Arg also hopes that the cover will makeGeorge Michael a happy man after being in hospital with pneumonia, claiming: “Hopefully he’s a fan of The Only Way is Essex and I’m sure our rendition will put a smile on his face and make him a lot better.”

Although going to No.1 is a general desire among the cast members, Lydia revealed another Xmas present on her wish list: “I’m not going to lie, if I was to have one thing for Christmas, it would be a Porsche Jeep,” she said laughing.

While the TOWIE cast were revealing truths, we asked Carol whether son Mark Wrightwas just ‘acting’ on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! as co-star Kirk Norcross alleged last week.

Slamming Kirk's comments, Carol disagreed: “He was a real person in the jungle. When he came out, he said he didn’t know what was going to be aired or anything. You know everyone knows Mark is Mark in that jungle.”

TOWIE will be back in the New Year with a lot to look forward to, with Lydia adding: “There’s going to be lots of drama, lots of happiness. There’s going to be arguments, there’s going to be kissing...”

For those die-hard fans who can’t wait that long, the TOWIE Christmas special will hit ITV2 on 20th December.
