Academy Award nominees Pharrell Williams and Lupita Nyong'o speak at the Oscars luncheon in Beverly Hills, with the 12 Years A Slave actress confessing that his No.1 single, Happy, holds a very special place in her heart.

She explains: "I sat on table number one, which was really nice. And I sat with Pharrell. Yeah, I had Pharrell to my left and I had a wonderful conversation about that wonderful song of his, 'Happy.'

"On the day that I got nominated for the Oscar, my brother posted a video on Instagram, of his joy, and he was dancing to the song, 'Happy.' So, I showed him the video on Instagram and he was very touched by it. (Laughs.)"

Williams - who is up for the Best Original Song gong for Happy from flick Despicable Me 2 - then notes: "I was like, 'Wow! That's so awesome. It's like crazy day and serendipitous that the moment ties us all together.

"You know, we are all having this moment together. And, like, your brother was like able to be a part of it, without even realising.' Or maybe he did. Who knows? But it was awesome."

The 86th Academy Awards are due to take place on March 2!
