Exclusive: The Rakes bad Feelings
The group talk to us about Peter Andre, Tony Blair and the band behind Never Be Lonely
The Rakes have hit out at The Feeling in an exclusive interview with MTV2, at this weekends Great Escape.
Talking about recently writing a blog singer Alan Donahue said: When we were asked to do this one for a newspaper, (we) saw on the website one from The Feeling, who I particularly hate.
He continued: So I checked it out and it was really, really annoying. It was like going the whole yeah we got on the guest list to see Scissor Sisters and Elton John was there and Kylie I stopped reading it- it was just sickening
The Rakes also told us about their new single The World Was A Mess But His Hair Was Perfect which criticises celebrities getting political.
Alan told us: You get people like Peter Andre on Top of the Pops trying to tell Tony Blair how to dictate foreign policy, its like oh my god!
The song is based on those sort of airheads who jumped on the bandwagon, you know when it was a bit cool to be political for a minute.
The Rakes- who released their second album Ten New Messages in March- played an exclusive gig for MTV2 on Friday at Concorde 2 in Brighton.
Watch the gigs 15th/16th/17th June as part of the Gonzo On Tour at the Great Escape Weekend
