Jessie J On Suffering Stroke: "I Was Told I Wouldn't Sing Or Walk Properly Again"
The 'Bang Bang' singer talks frankly in a clip from this week's concluding episode of The Ride here…
"I lost feeling in my right arm and I was like 'this doesn't feel right'," the Burnin' Up sensation recalls, "Tingles, shooting pains - my face started to go numb on my right side and I called my dad and my dad was like ' you need to go to hospital, something's wrong.'
"So I went to the doctor's and they just said 'I don't want to alarm you but you're having a minor stroke' and at this point I couldn't see out of my right eye, my face was dropping, it was scary.
"I was told I wouldn't sing or walk properly again 'cause they didn't think that my face would fully come back to normal so I prayed a lot and didn't let it get me so I just was like 'this is a test that I've been given as a person and it hasn't killed me so it can only make me stronger."
Also in this week's finale, Jessie reveals the touching inspiration behind her first song, talent show success and the moments leading up to her dazzling performance at the 2014 MTV VMA alongside Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
