That preview snippet of The Rock miming and dancing to Taylor Swift's Shake It Off was the most awesome thing we've seen so far this year - and finally the full version has landed!

Unsurprisingly it seems the wrestler and movie star (aka Dwayne Johnson) triumphed over Jimmy Fallon in the inaugural episode of new TV show Lip Sync Battle.

Spun off from Fallon's chat show, the new series sees rap legend LL Cool J presiding over the competition and Chrissy Teigen adding commentary.

Johnson was up against stiff competition as Fallon gave it his all with a typically lively version of Madonna's Like A Prayer and his own take on Harry Belafonte's calypso classic Jump In The Line.

But the big man reinforced his superiority with a super-smooth take on the Bee Gees' Stayin' Alive - even pointing at his gyrating crotch as the delighted audience screamed with approval.

The show will be hitting UK screens on new channel Spike in a matter of weeks.
