The Script Talk New Single, The Video & Tinie Tempah!
MTV sat down with Mark to get the goss! Find out more here...
We caught up with Mark Sheehan, one third of the Irish rockers, to ask what made them pick Nothing as their next single, after the hugely popular, For The First Time.
Mark, who recently became a father to baby Lila, told us: "We chose Nothing as the next single from our album, Science and Faith, because some songs just jump out at you and Nothing was one of those tracks."
When asked about the video for the single, which was shot near MTV HQ in Camden, North London, Sheehan claimed that it was the perfect place to shoot the video.
Mark revealed: "We thought Camden would be an ideal location because we liked the setting of Camden what with the lock and everything."
As for lead singer Danny, who ends up having one too many drinks before jumping into Camden Lock, Mark added: "We just wanted to show a typical The Script night out…not that we all get drunk all the time, but it seemed to fit the song perfectly."
While on the subject of The Script's new single, we just had to ask Mark about their cover of Tinie's No.1 hit song, which the Pass Out MC recently tweeted that he “loved”, and here at MTV, we are also huge fans of their version.
Speaking of Written In The Stars, he explained: “We picked it because we wanted to do something contemporary, we had already done Eminem's Lose Yourself.”
He added: “I am glad Tinie liked our version, we added our own verses and used his one for the third verse. We have actually invited Tinie to join us on our Australian tour which starts in Perth next April.”
We are sure it'll be an amazing show! The Script's brand new single, Nothing, is out now!
