The Shannara Chronicles' Poppy Drayton Talks Awks Sex Scene With Vanessa Hudgens' Boyf Austin Butler: 'You're Given Tiny Pants!' - EXCLUSIVE
It deffo wasn’t a fantasy come true for Princess Poppy...
She might play an Elven princess in hit show The Shannara Chronicles, but that didn’t stop actress Poppy Drayton getting royally embazzed while having to film a sex scene for it. Eeeek...
Yep, in an exclusive interview with MTV, the London-born actress, 25, admitted that getting hot and heavy under the covers with her hunky co-star Austin Butler, 24, was actually MEGA awks.
The former Downton Abbey star - who plays Amberle Elessedil in the show - opened up to us about getting up close and VERY personal with Vanessa Hudgen's boyf (who plays half-human/half-elf and totes heart throb, Wil).
A dream come true, right? Getting steamy under the covers with an actual Disney heartthrob? WRONG!
She explains in our exclusive video: “You’re both there under the covers. There are loads of people just standing around.
"Then you’re given these tiny little pants and I had this tiny little boob tube thing on but you’re not really wearing much and you’re trying to act and stay in the scene and stay really focused and doing your job.”
I mean… we can think of worst job IRL, but we'll take your word for it, Poppy.
Not that shooting MTV’s big budget fantasy epic was all about rolling around under the covers with gorgeous co-stars. Oh no! She chronicled some tough times on set and it sounded BRUTAL...
She told us: “It’s four in the morning, you’re knackered and you’re having to go over and over a take and everyone just wants to go home and sleep.”
:( we can totally relate to that considering we LOVE sleep.
Awkward sex scenes and sleep deprivation aside, it sounds like there were great moments on-set too, like her first day when she had to shoot an 'OMG I'm naked in a waterfall' scene. Jealous doesn't even cover it.
She explains: “When I actually came to do it, it was the loveliest day and I had the most wonderful time.”
And that’s why SHE plays a brave warrior princess protecting the world from evil... and not us. Princess Amberle – U THE BEST!
