Police have confirmed that they have found the body of a man [uuid=55484834-a15a-46db-99d9-64ce3758716f]The Stone Roses comeback gig last Friday (29th June).
As we previously reported, 22-year oldIan Brownand Co's show in Heaton Park, Manchester.
The Roses later released[uuid=55484834-a15a-46db-99d9-64ce3758716f] a statement urging for help[/uuid] in the search for Brahney, with police announcing today (9th July) that he has been found dead.
According to NME, his body was recovered from the Manchester Ship Canal at 9.35am, and has been formally identified as Christopher.
A full post-mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow (10th July) to determine the cause of death.
A statement on Brahney's Facebook read: "It is with great sadness that on behalf of the Brahney family I am writing to you all.
"The police will be issuing a formal statement soon regarding the body that was found in the Canal this morning. At this time we believe that it is Chris, however formal identification has still to take place."
They continued: "The family would like to thank everyone for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers that you have sent our way. Thank you for all the support, it has given them immense strength and courage.
"Please respect the family’s wishes and ensure that they are left alone during this difficult time."
