The Stone Rosesplayed their first show for 16 years last night (23rd May).
The Oasisand Beady Eye star Liam Gallagher was thought to be in attendance, while director Ian Brown gave the crowd a ticking off for using camera phones, stating: "If you put your cameras down you might be able to live in the moment. You have a memory there of something you’ve never lived.”
At the end of gig, Brown told his adoring audience: "Stone Roses up on the stage. Thank you, we'll be back."
The band's next planned gig [uuid=b386e2db-648c-4112-a2d5-7a8756936673]will be at Heaton Park[/uuid] in their home city of Manchester next month.
