The Stone Roses' drummer Reni may have been unhappy with the sound at their gig in Amsterdam this week, which he left before their encore.
The 48-year-old, whose real name is Alan Wren, was said by a fan to have seemed distressed on stage - pointing at the sound mixer repeatedly.
Fan Paul Roberts told BBC 6Music: "At one point I saw Reni waving his arms wildly at the stage mixer, obviously not happy with something."
But BBC journalist Peter Shuttleworth, who was also at the gig, said he saw the Roses' drummer hug guitarist John Squire before he left - dispelling rumours of a rift in the band.
