The Valleys' Lateysha And Carley Check Into Boot Camp
The girls were determined to beat the bulge...
The Valleys’ Lateysha Grace and Carley Belmonte have revealed they enrolled in a fitness boot camp after being subjected to nasty comments about their weight on Twitter.
“I guess it’s all part of the celebrity lifestyle, but there’s no need for it and I didn’t expect it to be this bad,” Lateysha admitted to Wales on Sunday.
Lateysha – who has recently been working on a single with American artist D-Jukes – added: “Being an actress or singer would be my dream job and I’m not going to let this put me off.”
Best friend and co-star Carley said of the Twitter insults: “It was horrible. I’m quite good at brushing it off, but I’m the kind of person who won’t let it show if I am upset.”
The barrage of comments convinced the girls to check in to a boot camp in a bid to lose weight and the girls were thankful they had each other during the experience. “I’m so glad Carley was there to get me through it,” said a relieved Lateysha.
Meanwhile Carley gushed: “It was hilarious watching Lateysha get in to an ice bath the first time, she wouldn’t stop screaming. A lot of viewers think she’s a diva, but I was so impressed by her.”
And the girls have emerged feeling better about their appearance. “I don’t think girls should have to be mega-skinny and I don’t want to set that kind of example,” Lateysha explained.
“I have reached a weight that I am comfortable with and looks good on me. I’m never going to be mega-skinny – there will always be a bit of bum and boob.”
