The Vamps have teamed up with rising star Shawn Mendes on their next single.

The group confirmed they've collaborated with Mendes on a new version of Meet The Vamps album track Oh Cecilia - which is due for release on October 12.

Mendes recently joined The Vamps on Austin Mahone's North American tour, along with X Factor USA act Fifth Harmony.

[related]The 16-year old got his big break after being discovered on Vine and securing a record deal, with Shawn later topping the US iTunes chart with his first original track, Life Of The Party.

Oh Cecilia will be The Vamps fifth UK single, following Top 5 hits Can We Dance, Wild Heart, Last Night and Demi Lovato collaboration, Somebody To You.
