The Vamps Want To Collaborate With Disclosure

Plus, the band discuss working with the boys from McFly…

The Vamps have revealed they would love to collaborate with UK electronic duo Disclosure.

The lads, who [uuid=18111d39-0490-4c67-aad5-5da7151f2c34]narrowly missed out on the no. 1 spot [/uuid]in the charts this week with their debut single Can We Dance, have opened up their desire to work with the Latch hit makers, as well as their hopes of writing tracks for several other hit groups.

Singer Brad Simpson told the Daily Star: “Featuring on a track by Disclosure would be amazing.

“None of the band are striving for fame. We want to have fun with success but it’s more important that we try to get respect as songwriters.”

Simpson continued: “We’ve already written songs that aren’t right for the band that we’d love to give to our favourite acts like Bombay Bicycle Club or Foo Fighters, not that those guys need our help.”

The boys are gearing up to release their as-yet-untitled debut album sometime in 2014 and are grateful to have pop veterans McFly on hand to help pen some tracks.

Drummer Tristan Evans revealed: “McFly were an influence on me wanting to get into music and we feel like the next generation of their take on pop, so we’re so lucky to have them on board.”

Bassist Connor Ball added: “They’re chilled-out and we hope we can have that calm attitude if we ever get that successful.”

The Vamps [uuid=b3bde58c-5425-462b-8ccf-a3786a0b182d]recently supported pop princess Selena Gomez[/uuid] during her London shows and yesterday were announced as the opening act for Taylor Swift on her upcoming UK tour dates.
