90's Popstars Trying For Comeback On The Voice?
Show criticised for letting pop has beens audition...
However show bosses have come under fire because it’s been revealed several possible contestants have had music careers already.
Nineties heartthrob Kavana and Cleo Higgins from girl-band Cleopatra are among those said to be trying for a second chance at stardom.
Also hoping to win over Danny, Jessie, Will and Tom is former Hear’Say member Danny Foster. He first found fame on the 2001 reality show ‘Popstars’ which was a precursor to The X Factor.
The band split up after just 18 months and while fellow members Kym Marsh and Mylene Klass have gone on to other careers, Danny has been pretty silent.
A show source told The Mirror: “There are over a hundred people in the live auditions and only a handful with careers behind them – and not all of those get through."
Meaning some of those hoping to get back on the pop bandwagon may not have been successful…
