Tyler James, regularly seen in pap shots of the late singer, will appear on tonight's show as he tries to win over coaches will.i.am, Tom Jones, Danny O'Donoghue and Jessie J.

During his pre-judging interview, Tyler makes mention of his friendship with Amy, saying: "We were like two peas in a pod, we were like two halves of the same person."

James goes on to talk about [uuid=89d3d809-b719-4da6-99ba-b665277a13b9]Amy's sudden and tragic death[/uuid], saying: "Amy died and my whole life changed. Now she's here, she's here with me and it's about me finding my own feet and it's through music, it's through singing."

Tyler, whose single Foolish reached number 16 in the charts back in 2005, adds: "This competition is about me building up my confidence."
