The BBC is reported to be planning to moveThe Voiceearlier in the year to avoid another ratings battle with Britain's Got Talent.
The corporation's talent show was soundly beaten by BGT this year, with a certain amount of gamesmanship on the part of ITV over the scheduling.
A source at the BBC told The Sun that show bosses wanted to give it a clear run next year.
The mole said: "This year really is make or break for The Voice. They are planning to move it to the early part of the year when they will have a free run when it comes to Saturday entertainment.
"It will also mean The Voice is on in winter, when more people watch TV in the evenings.
"If that doesn’t work they'll be forced to dump the show for good."
Danny O'Donoghue and Jessie J have [uuid=5d9b4f9f-512c-4f0b-8369-5bc4fda5e004]both quit as coaches[/uuid] on the show following this year's series.
