Hannah And Ruth-Ann Leave The Voice

Backing dancer jinx hits Hannah as Ruth-Ann's pitch problems return...

Two more hopefuls left The Voice tonight as Jessie J was quick to comment on both the staging and the outfit, saying: "You could have come out in jeans and a T-shirt and I would have watched you more than you did.

"I'm sorry, but I'm on The Voice! Your voice was flawless, but there's too much going on."

Tom Jones disagreed, saying he was so 'mesmerised' by Hannah's performance that he hadn't even noticed the dancers.

Faced with a choice between Hannah and Max Milner, coach Danny O'Donoghue opted to save Max and send Hannah home but emphasised that there was "no difference in talent."

Asked what she would take away from the show, Hannah said it has been the "best year of my life", having turned 21, sung for the Queen and appeared on live TV.

Though 18-year-old Ruth-Ann caused something of a shock by beating Ben Kelly in the Battle Rounds, the pitch problems that had plagued her blind audition returned in her rendition of Cheryl Cole's Promise This.

Up against the 'timeless' voice of Toni Warne, Ruth-Ann was sent home by her mentor, Jessie J who suggested her "path is gleaming."

Ruth-Ann said her time on The Voice had been a "crazy rollercoaster" and thanked all four coaches for their 'life-changing' comments.
