Over eight million viewers tuned in to the BBC talent show to see Rita in action...

Ahead of her red-hot appearance at The Golden Globes on Sunday (January 11), Rita Ora was celebrating over the weekend after a triumphant first appearance on The Voice.

The blonde babe took to Instagram to share the news that her flirtatious antics had drawn over eight million viewers - beating ITV rival, Stars In The Their Eyes, hosted by Harry Hill.

[related]The Voice comfortably won the 7pm time slot, with 8.05 million viewers tuning in to see Rita in her red-spinning chair, while Hill only managed 3.68 million eyeballs on his show.

However, the BBC singing talent show was slightly down on last year's launch, with then-newcomers Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson scoring 8.37 million viewers.
