Jessie J 'Extremely Proud' Of The Voice Acts
The Voice coach praises all 10 acts after rejects criticise show editing...
Jessie J has praised the 10 acts who battled it out to win a place in her final five.
Now Jessie has posted a statement on her Twitter page to say: "I am extremely proud of my final 10 artists on @BBCTheVoiceUK &I wish I could have taken more than 5 through to the lives."
Yesterday, The Voice rejects Emmy J Mac, J Marie Cooper and Ben Kelly, who were part of Jessie's team, all criticised the editing of the show, claiming much of their footage was cut.
In an apparent response to their complaints, Jessie tweeted: "I do not edit the show remember that & my decisions cannot reflect the opinion of everyone watching.
"I simply have to go with my heart & i'm aware not everyone will agree. I have spent a lot more time with all of them getting to know them& hearing them sing than the viewer gets to see.
"They will all do well. Whether they are in the live shows or not."
Jessie's job as a mentor on the show, not to mention her pop career, have forced her to put one particular ambition on the back burner, at least for the time being.
In an interview with the Radio Times, the Laserlight singer revealed: "I would love to do musicals. That is what I trained in. I've started writing one but it's kind of been put to the side."
She explained: "It's about life and feeling good. It's about time there's something on stage that kids can go to and come out thinking they can take on the world and do something with their life if they're in a bad place."
