Jessie Jhas indicated that she is unsure of whether or not the BBC can make a success of The Voice.
The pop star, who left the show this year after two years as a coach, was asked by the BBC's own Newsbeat about the show's prospects.
"I don't know, that's the honest truth. I can't predict the future," she replied.
"All I know is that when I went in to the show I gave it everything, I tried to be myself. I was critical. I worked really hard as a coach."
But she appeared to suggest that the show was not clicking with the viewing public.
"The hardest thing is you can't control what the public want, it's weird because they crave real. But then you give them real and then they don't want real, so who knows?"
