Kylie: Rita Ora Will Be A Hit On The Voice
Outgoing coach gives her successor a vote of confidence...
We were all shocked and excited to hear that Rita Ora will be joining The Voice as a coach - and it seems Kylie Minogue is just as thrilled at the prospect.
The Aussie pop princess was a big hit herself on this year's series, but decided to walk away from it to concentrate on her music career.
Speaking on Lorraine, she said of the news: "I'm really excited that Rita is doing it, I think she'll be great!"
Ms Ora will be getting to work on the show next month as she joins returning coaches Ricky Wilson, Will.I.Am and Sir Tom Jones for filming at auditions.
And her new colleague Will.I.Am has also given her a vote of confidence.
He told The Mirror: "If it wasn't Rita, I wouldn't have done it. So I'm happy that it's Rita. Because when Kylie left I was like, 'Who else are you going to get?'
"Who else? Gwen Stefani is in America doing The Voice, but that would have been cool if we got her here. I don't know who else we could have got."
However the show won't be returning to BBC One until early next year.
Kylie recently declared that she'd like to get into film or theatre directing.
