Sir Elton John Slams The Voice
Rocket Man says the BBC talent show produces 'nonentities'...
Pop legend The Voice, suggesting the show focuses more on its star coaches than the contestants.
According to Danny O'Donoghue after failing to make a splash in the charts.
And while this year's winner, Andrea Begley, revealed that she hoped to have her debut album released by Christmas this year, Sir Elton believes it's all too much, too soon for many talent show winners.
He explained: "Television and video have done a lot of damage to music. They've propelled people into stardom that aren't ready for it, you know, and can't sustain it. And they're only as good as the next song."
John added: "I hate that. I hate people being cast aside. It breaks my heart to see people like Michelle McManus who won Pop Star [Pop Idol] whatever it was, but it's not fair."
It has already been confirmed that The Voice will be back for a third series next year.
