The Streets' Mike Skinner Downplays The Voice Leo

But talent show hopeful hits back on Twitter after dismissive blog post...

The Streetsstar The Voice hopeful Leo Ihenacho, who he has previously worked with.

Leo - aka Leo the Lion - performed vocals on Dry Your Eyes and appeared on tour with The Streets - but Skinner has gone to the effort of claiming that he was not a proper member of the group on his blog.

Writing on his blog, Skinner asserted: "Leo the Lion wasn't in The Streets. He was a session singer on a few album tracks. He also sang on tour for a bit. He wasn't part of any songwriting."

And Leo saw red when the post came to his attention, launching into an angry Twitter tirade.

"Explain to the fans why we haven't spoken for years... You refuse to be happy for me.. After all these years... You gonna post that..!!!!!"

And he later added: "It's just incredible how some people can never ever want others to succeed.."

Then: "Sincere apologies to all the fans for going off like that..!! Love as always.. #LetsKeepItMoving #SayNoMore"

Leo was pounced upon by Kylie Minogue in the opening episode of the BBC talent show last weekend.

Amid rumours of romance, the pair have now been dubbed "Kyleo" by internet wags.
