The Voice Beats BGT In Final Head-To-Head Clash

BBC show pulls in almost twice as many viewers as its ITV rival...

BBC talent show The Voice has beaten Britain's Got Talent in the Saturday night ratings clash again, pulling in almost twice as many viewers during the twenty-minute head-to-head clash.

Between 8pm and 8.20pm, when the two shows battle to win viewers, 11.8 million Brits tuned in to The Voice, while BGT grabbed only 5.8 million during the same period.

Saturday night's show, which saw coaches Jessie J, Tom Jones pick their final contestants, proved the [uuid=8673fb10-f85e-4e3a-b7dc-1cf8e087a78e]biggest ratings winner so far.[/uuid]

With the battle phase due to start next week and [uuid=6bedd0bb-c123-4daf-807a-0b964d946663]guest stars already being lined up[/uuid] for the live shows, it's likely the show will win more and more followers.

So it's little wonder that ITV have decided to [uuid=c9c22794-06c7-4d45-95f1-9003aac1ebf9]shift Britain's Got Talent to a new Saturday night slot[/uuid] to avoid direct competition with its BBC rival.

As of next week, BGT will start at 8.30pm, while The Voice will continue to air on BBC1 at 7pm.
