The Voice Crowns Its Winner For 2015

As Rita Ora joins guests Paloma Faith and The Script on stage...

Stevie McCrorie has been voted the winner of this year's The Voice.

The Scottish firefighter extinguished the competition - in the form of Lucy O'Byrne in second place and Emmanuel Nwamadi and Sasha Simone in third and fourth.

Coached by Ricky Wilson, McCrorie had been the bookies' favourite to win and his debut single - a cover of Adam Levine's Lost Stars - is already on sale digitally.

Asked for his ambitions for his music career, he was characteristically modest and said he hoped to become a "successful and sustainable artist" and added: "Hopefully I can provide a living for my family."

However when Wilson prodded him to be more honest he admitted: "My real dream is to get a house with a log fire in it."

Asked what his firefighting colleagues would think of his triumph, he answered: "They were the guys that applied for me for this show.

"A lot of people have saw something in me that I didn't see, and even standing up there I've still got that self doubt and I think it's going to take a while to click in, to take in, that I've actually won The Voice 2015."

The grand finale of the BBC One talent show saw performances from coach Rita Ora - along with Paloma Faith and former coach Danny O'Donoghue's band The Script.
