The second series of The Voiceis likely to see the format tweaked to feature fewer live shows and more spinning chairs, it has been reported.
Viewing figures were strong in the first part of the show's debut run on BBC1, when the coaches listened to prospective singers perform - only spinning around in their chairs to see them once they had picked them for their team.
But audience numbers fell off drastically once the show moved into its later phase of live shows.
BBC controller of entertainment Mark Linsey said it was "fair comment" when asked if the show had become like all other talent shows in the live phase.
